War of In-Laws II Ep. 17
Summary. Bosco is very sad about Myolie wanting a divorce with him. Myolie moves out of the house. Meanwhile, at Lamma Island, Lisa is alone. She accidentally spills water and decides to mop it, but when she is trying to get the mop, her arm gets stuck in the window. A man comes by and asks if she needs help, but she refuses to admit that she is stuck. She talks disrespectfully to the man and the guy responds that everyone in Lamma Island hates her, especially the elders at the hospital. The guy leaves and Lisa continues to be stuck there. She later dreams that Bosco, Myolie, Mark, and all her previous employees goes to her funeral, but goes there to party. In other words, they are happy that she has died. She screams and as she woke up, Benz has rescued her out of the window. Benz tells her that she doesn’t have to worry about people partying at her funeral, because she is so mean, no one will even set up a funeral for her. Lisa replies that she a strong person is always alone and she already knows it. She then decides to make spaghetti, but she needs ketchup. She goes to the supermarket, but the employees there told her that they are out of it. She yells at them while all the customers there look at her. She went all the way home to get a bottle of ketchup and realizes that Boscolie are home. She hears that they have separated and is shocked. The way Bosco broke up with Myolie reminds her of how she broke up with her boyfriend (Bosco’s father). Myolie storms out of the room and notices Lisa, but walks away. Lisa, astonished, yells at Bosco for making Myolie leave. Lisa encourages him to leave Vivien. When Lisa went back to Lamma Island, she realizes that she forgot to bring home the ketchup and goes over to Benz’s apartment. He is eating at home as well while Lisa cries and tells him about all the sad events that happened to her: Joyce left, then her servant, and Myolie. At this point, Lisa regrets for what she did while Benz tries to comfort her. Lisa tells her about Vivien and how she took Bosco away. Lisa asks her to do something. After ignoring his warning, Benz goes up to Vivien and breaks a mop. Although he broke it with his leg, the strips of wood scarred Vivien’s face and she screams. At the hospital, Bosco arrives and Benz hopes that Vivien will not accuse him. Vivien does not know and tells Bosco that the doctor told her that the scar might stay with her forever. Bosco, feeling out of pity, agrees to sign separate with Myolie and signs the contract. Of course, Vivien, sweet talks him into this. Myolie is undergoing lots at Elva as she is stuck between satisfying her boss and taking her employee’s suggestions into consideration. Mark, tired of his workers not cooperating finally issues warning letters to anyone who disobeys Myolie’s orders. By now, everyone at work is angry at Myolie for betraying them as they thought it was Myolie who asked Mark to issue warning letters. Myolie is stuck in the middle and does not know what to do. She seeks Bosco’s help, but Bosco tells her that he will be together with Vivien. Angry and disappointed, Myolie returns to work and hears everyone talking about her (they intended to let Myolie hear their feelings) and she turns around and yell at them. Like Ophelia.
Comments. This episode was rather hilarious and serious at the same time. I actually loved it. First, I was so happy when Benz scarred Vivien’s face. When she screamed, I laughed. She totally deserves it for being the third party and not feel guilty for breaking up a married couple. Second, the whole Lisa-being-stuck-in-the-window event was hilarious as well. I especially thought it was funny when Benz ensured not to worry about people partying at her funeral because there wouldn’t be one for her since she has such a terrible personality. Third, when Lisa regrets for treating certain people the way they did and she cried about it. She finally understood the importance of friends. Benz and Lisa have great chemistry and I like how Benz easily forgave Lisa and even treated her like a friend when she needed the help. Fourth, Myolie is becoming Ophelia Number Two. It was funny when the fire came out of her mouth. I cannot imagine what Joyce has in mind, that is, if she still has a conspiracy.

War of In-Laws II Ep. 16
Summary. From the last episode, Myolie suspects that Bosco still have feelings for Vivien and calls out that they divorce. Bosco regrets and wants Myolie back, but instead confront her mother since Myolie told him that it was Lisa who didn’t want her to be her daughter-in-law. Bosco yells at his mother and accidentally spills that she will live the rest of her life without a man in her life. Lisa gets offended and she moves out of the house. Lisa goes live in Lamma Island with her maid servant (Ha Ping). Feeling bored at home everyday, she decides to go to help the elders at this social center when her servant suggested it. However, she was not welcomed there because of her bossy attitude towards the elders and she was even forced to leave. On the other hand, Benz is greatly welcomed there because of his considerate and kind personality. When Lisa offends the elders, Benz defends them by telling Lisa that she is ridiculous. Lisa is pissed off and when she returns home, she blames everything on her servant. She even called her servant old and useless. The next morning, Ha Ping left a note that she retire, but she was not mad.
Meanwhile, Bosco, who still loves his wife decides to make it up to her. Only when he agrees to resign from his current job at Vivien’s company, his boss gives him a certificate that identifies him as a professional in the field of business (or something like that). He wants to demonstrate to Myolie that he can do it and lies to her that he has resigned already. Myolie was planning to forgive him, but just the next morning discovers that Bosco have been lying to her all along. Furious, but after she settled on for a while, she called Bosco up to the lawyer’s office. When the lawyer offered to explain the details of their divorce, Bosco refuses to listen and claims that he will not sign the paper. Myolie says that is okay and leaves her ring on the table and tells him that they will separate for two years and divorce automatically after that.
Comments. This episode was actually one of the more intense episodes. Or well, more serious lets say. I actually love how WOILII has more sensible and mature characters as opposed to the first one. Honestly, the first one is not really worth watching if it was not for Boscolie. The bickering between Lisa and Myolie is plain tedious and immature. Believe it or not, I actually even like the character Ophelia despite her bossiness over other people, but she only hopes for the best, if not perfection. Though her character can be annoying sometimes, hey, it is way better than her insensible attitude in WOIL.
Derek and Joyce. I forgot to mention, but there was like three minutes for this couple here. Joyce accidentally spills that she likes Derek. Myolie hears it and confronts Derek. Derek says that his twin daughters must like her girlfriend. Aww…I found that so cute! Love Derek here in spite of his feminine actions. LOL…

War of In-Laws II Ep. 15
Aww…this episode of WOILII was very interesting. I am beginning to think that WOILII is not a comedy anymore since there are so many serious moments now. That I love. Basically, Lisa is very tired of her boss’s son who takes control of Elva Green and wants to swallow Elva as well. Lisa goes on vacation for one month, knowing that they will not be able to handle Elva without her help. Unfortunately for her, Mark (the boss’s son’s role name) re-hires Joyce and she uses a dirty tactic to make a fashion designer have an interview with them. Lisa resigns and is extremely angry with Myolie because she is being played by Mark. Meanwhile, Vivien is exploiting all means possible to get close to Bosco. They have a kissing scene, but Benz informs Lisa in time and she comes to her house. She makes Bosco leave wtih her and on the way home, she agreed not to tell Myolie what happened tonight. So the two pretend to be drunk, but only to find that once they got home, Vivien tagged along to give Bosco back his cell phone. Myolie knows the truth and is very angry. Vivien admits that she knew Bosco first and that if she gets to pick again, she would not have went overseas for an education. She knows what she wants the most. Myolie claims that she is Bosco’s wife. Vivien leaves, but Myolie announced that she wants to divorce…

I like this episode. There was little comedy, a bit from Benz character who know watches over Bosco and prevents Vivien from getting close to him. Derek and Joyce also has one scene here. I adore Derek’s cute character but cannot help that Joyce still has some evil, unrevealed intentions. Both Joyce and Vivien’s character is very annoying me now…

War of In-Laws II Ep. 14
Many years ago when Vivien was still a student, Lisa, not wanting her son to marry someone poor, decided to pay for Vivien to go oversea to get an education. However, now that Vivien is back, she wants Bosco back and she implicitly tells Lisa this during their luncheon. She believes that a woman should know how to protect herself in society. Even though Bosco does not show any signs of continuing his relationship with his ex despite his married status, Myolie does not understand and is often at his case. She wants him to get out of Vivien’s company. Lisa and Myolie also hates each other know because Lisa thinks that Myolie is standing in her way of promotion. Myolie is elevated to the same position as Lisa without knowing that she is being used in the process. To get Myolie off, Lisa pretends to be nice and encourages that Bosco and Myolie have a baby. Myolie later discovers that Lisa has ulterior intentions and decides to blackmail her, only knowing that she has failed. Also, Lisa seeks Benz help to watch Bosco at his new company. Benz pretends to be mad at her, but couldn’t help that he still have feelings for her.

At youtube, many fans expressed a negative attitude towards Vivien’s character, Athena. Even though they did not explicitly state the reason, I could only think of two: she is intruding in Boscolie’s marriage and many Boscolie fans will hate that (of course, duh) or Vivien’s acting is horrible. Some might think both. Personally, I am not a big fan of Vivien despite her attractive physical appearance. Besides her looks, I don’t think she satisfies my definition of an actress in any way. I can actually understand Athena’s actions to a certain degree. After all, it was Ophelia’s decision and motive to send her away simply because she does not want her son to date her. She believes that she is too poor and at that time Athena is a very naive young girl. She does not understand the complexity of life. Who would think that someone would waste a couple hundred thousands on a person who she does not care? Therefore, Athena feels that she has the right to protect herself from other people and she will get whatever she wants. I don’t know if this is true, but it is simply what I think after watching this episode. It’s only the start of Boscolie’s break up.
I actually quite like WOILII as opposed to the prequel which was way exaggerated. There are more serious moments. However, I thought the most hilarious scene was the one between Lisa and Benz when she wanted him to help her. He agreed only if she kneels on glass. Lisa refuses and leaves. Benz starts yelling at her, only to find himself feeling a tinge of affection for her. Instead of yelling, he ends with, “You are so…special…” He works at Bosco’s company as a custodian and challenges Vivien, whom he knows Lisa wants to get rid of.
